About Community Engagement
If you're a member of the College Area community, you're in the right place. Community Relations collaborates with local organizations and departments across campus to help neighbors connect to SDSU. Read on for more information on initiatives and community activities.
Good Neighbor Program
Community Relations works closely with Associated Students (AS) to develop community programming. The Good Neighbor Program is an initiative of the AS Campus Community Commission and is dedicated to forging positive relationships among students and other college area residents through service and education.
During the semester, the Good Neighbor Programs hosts a bimonthly community clean-up with 150-200 student volunteers. You can request your block be included as a clean-up path by filling out the Community Voice Form, and provide other feedback to the students on this commission.
Good Neighbor also engages students in education about good neighbor behavior and publishes the widely distributed Good Neighbor brochure to students throughout the year.
